FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I need help NOW! What can I do?

Call us immediately at 978-327-5960. Many times we can reserve a same-day appointment, so don't delay. The sooner you call us the sooner we can help (see Contact Us).

I was hurt in an accident. What should I do first?

If it is a medical emergency, dial 911 and get help now. Otherwise, make an appointment to be seen by our office as soon as possible. Reseach shows that adhesions, a type of scar tissue, can significantly affect your recovery in as little as 48 hours after an accident. We will assist in any way necessary regarding insurance or legal issues. (see Information on auto related injury).

What can I expect on my first visit?

We will ask you to fill out some confidential office paperwork (including an insurance verification form and a case history). Next, Dr. Pollock will see you for your free consultation. This usually takes about 15 minutes, but may take longer depending upon your condition. This is an important step in the process because it helps us determine if we can help you. If Dr. Pollock determines that you are a good chiropractic candidate, he will proceed with your initial evaluation. Your first evaluation is very thorough (see How We Can Help You) and typically lasts for about 30-45 minutes.

Will I be treated on my first visit?

There are exceptions, but usually the treatment does not begin until after the doctor has the time to review all of the diagnostic testing (typically 24 hours). Please note that WE WILL NOT PERFORM TREATMENT WITHOUT A THOROUGH EVALUATION-and you should never let ANY doctor treat or adjust you without evaluating you first.

How much will it cost?

Your consultation is at no cost or obligation to you (see Free Consultation). It's simply our way of finding out if we can help you. The initial evaluation takes about 60 minutes, and the average cost varies from $45-65, depending on the complexity of your condition and the diagnostic tests performed. In most cases, however, we will bill your insurance company directly and you are only responsible for your co-pay (see Insurance Information).

Will my insurance cover my care at Advanced Health & Wellness?

Advanced Health & Wellness accepts most insurance plans (see Insurance Information) including Medicare. We also have special plans for those without health insurance. When you come in for you initial appointment, we will verify the chiropractic benefits on your policy. Dr. Pollock will always treat each patient equally, regardless of who has better insurance. He has never turned anyone away due to finances and he wouldn't want you to be the first! You deserve quality chiropractic care.

How can I be certain that you can help me?

At Advanced Health & Wellness we have seen fantastic results in the patients we treat (see Science and Research). We often help people that other doctors are unable to help, simply because we take a different treatment approach (see How We Can Help You). Although no doctor can ever guarantee results, Dr. Pollock has a great deal of confidence in the treatments he uses. During your thorough initial evaluation, the doctor will be able to determine if you can benefit from chiropractic care. If Dr. Pollock feels that your condition needs the attention of another doctor, he will immediately make a referral to the appropriate specialist. Take a positive step toward improving your health and find out how you respond to chiropractic care.

Is chiropractic care safe?

YES! Chiropractic care is by far the safest treatment for many health problems. Adverse reactions to chiropractic treatments are reported to occur in less than one in every 75 million adjustments, whereas medical error is currently the leading cause of death in the United States, responsible for over 700,000 death per year! This is why our annual malpractice insurance is literally 1000 times less expensive that of a typical medical doctor.
